DON’T TALK ABOUT JESUS follows the insecure son of a very religious family as he introduces them to his finance and her hippy parents. He asks his family to please not talk about Jesus, just this once, so as not to scare her family off. Both families are perishable seed, one thinks it has truth but lacks love, the other is all about love but lacks truth. We all need both Truth and Love.
1 Peter 1:22-23 (NIV)
22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
“Don’t Talk About Jesus!” is a short film created by a small group Bible study of mainly Mosaic members (mosaic.org), unofficially called Team Rise, and Eyre Films, LLC. We wanted to do a community project together and realized that our members represent almost every department on a movie production, including many fine actors. Not that we’re exclusive, message us below to join us on Tuesday nights in West Los Angeles.
We signed up to make a speed film with 168film.com. This year the assigned theme was “Rebirth” and our chosen Scripture was 1 Peter 3:23, which makes more sense in context.
